As we begin to consider color pairings for 2022, I believe we will be drawn to hues that are exciting but yet familiar, as opposed to the nostalgic tones of the previous year.
Do you know that the colors of your designs either products or your website, have a direct influence on your customer’s mood?
The right colors and designs could just be the secret to making your brand website, application or products more appealing to your target audiences.
Following a rough two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, an increasing number of design aficionados are turning to color to brighten up brands and create inspiring memories for users.
When it comes to choosing the correct colors for your brand, the first step is often the most difficult. Fortunately, with the invaluable knowledge of industry trends, major design companies and brands make it simple to get started on the route to a bright future.
Many color experts and designers say that 2022 will be the year of fresh beginnings, and colors that evoke this feeling will be quite popular in the next year.
Here are the nine colors and tones that will rule in 2022, if you’re seeking some color inspiration.
- PEACH
The year 2022 will be unlike any other in terms of design. People seem to have discovered a new passion, admiration, and interest in design as the globe regrounds.
They want to take their branding idea to the next level, but everyone’s experience is quite different when it comes to making color choices. Warm, rich tones like greens, purples, and oranges, I believe, will provide comfort to some.
Others will use pinks and peaches to create a bright, vivid, joyous atmosphere. Peachy pink is one of my favorite colors for 2022. It may be gloomy in some places and bright in others and I believe we are all a little bit of both.
- OCTOBER MIST
Benjamin Moore’s color of the year for 2022 is a light, silvery green called October Mist 1495, according to his pick. This floral hue is inspired by the mild green of a flower stem and serves as the starting point for the brand’s bigger color trends palette for 2022.
There are 14 nature-inspired colors in the collection, including tinted off-whites, warm earth tones, and bright primary colors. The October Mist 1495 palette, together with the color trends 2022 palette, exhibits an effortless harmony of hues while creating new combinations for every creative design.
To bring warmth and depth to a monochromatic palette, combine the soft tones of October Mist with a rich dark hue like Gloucester Sage HC-100. Bring up the cold undertones of this year’s color of the year with an ice blue-green like Quiet Moments 1563 or the inky blue-black Mysterious AF-565 for a sharp effect.
- LIGHT MINTY SHADES
The year 2022 is shaping up to be one of tranquil hues. We’ll see minty tints, and watercolor motifs, in addition to pastels and other subdued colors, all of which suggest a sensation of light, airy, peaceful, and gentleness, almost as if you were floating or sleeping on a cloud.
Can you imagine how perfect such a feeling would be if it were about your product design?
Looking at how designers are employing soft hues in clean designs and matching them with simple, tranquil typography to create that airy sensation. People are wanting calm and soothing outlooks after the year we’ve all had, not the same type of comfort their sweatpants brought when they were on lockdown for a year.
You will agree with me in 2022 that we are deliberately wanting the psychological comfort that simple colors that convey a bright and airy sensation provide for our brands.
- BLACK HUES
Are you a fan of the usage of almost black colors in a variety of ways? Instead of using typical black, a variation will be added by using hues like a deep and dark aubergine.
Dark colors may be used in interiors in a variety of ways, from dark graphics to dark backgrounds on your websites.
- NUDES
Warm, neutral paint colors are popular right now because they add warmth and adaptability to the information on your products/website. A neutral color scheme can quickly make your webspace feel cozier and more inviting.
Neutral Territory, a sandy beige with modest red undertones and hints of an airy greige that brightens in natural light, is one of my favorite neutrals.
For a flexible hue that will work with a range of information, images, and logos while providing a more inviting atmosphere, consider a rich neutral for a high-traffic section of your website like your homepage.
- RETROS
Do you seek a calm design for your website for 2022?
Working with subdued, soothing hues is one method to create a tranquil design, as you can see from the other color trends we described above. Another strategy is to appeal to viewers’ nostalgia by invoking “lesser times” in the past.
Of course, there have always been crises and problems to keep the world on edge, but perception is everything in design.
When most people think about the past, they imagine a less hectic and complex world than the one we live in now.
Designers (web designers and product designers) are putting effort into developing captivating vintage combinations with the Golden old age atmosphere in order to reinterpret experiences from the 1970s and 1980s.
- SHADES OF GREEN
The organic shade gray-green isn’t the only one capturing the attention for the next year. Greens of various undertones and colors, according to several designers, it will increase in popularity as consumers seek to infuse a feeling of nature into their website/product outlook.
As a result, in the next few months, expect to see textiles with emerald or leafy green tones all over the market.
As hues of green range from sage to darker tones, earthy neutrals, and nature-inspired greens will be prevalent.
A lush hue of green will always recall the peaceful, encompassing essence of the vast product outlook. Although warmer greens, like Matcha Latte, are ideal for invigorating any area with a burst of color like the about your product/services page, somber green with cold undertones, has long been a social media favorite.
Green, in various colors such as light grey-green, sage green, and emerald green, will be everywhere on social media. Light green tones are a great color for the contact us/inquiries sections since they require a little color without dominating the rest of the page.
The color green has a calming effect and is associated with SEO nature.
- COZY PATTERNS
Designers are subverting expectations by employing pastels in unusual and imaginative ways to generate discord or edginess.
When high saturation is used to produce stronger pastels, or when they are combined with neons or intricate patterns, the effect has the relaxing feel of pastel with the added energy of more brilliant colors and patterns.
It’s unusual, but not completely odd, with soft, spiky, and joyful filling your mind as they stretch the boundaries of something we all believed we knew.
- YELLOW SHADES
In 2022, I predict we will return to traditional, cheerful hues like Chenille yellow. After being in the midst of a worldwide epidemic for almost a year and only now beginning to heal, I’m sure we can all agree that we need a warm, comforting, and pleasant atmosphere more than ever.
Yellow will be a go-to hue for creating cherry, warm, and overall uplifting and inviting home pages for your website especially if you are considering a catchy website for your product.
